We’re looking for a qualified
Assisted Living Workers to temporarily join our team at Joseph Creek Village located in
Cranbrook, BC (FTE 0.58), this position would end before or go to September 14, 2025. If you are a strong team player, then we’d like to hear from you!
The successful candidate will have related experience and has a passion for providing high quality care and support for seniors.
We are looking for someone who:
- Provide personal care services to residents such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility and hygiene related duties as established in the individualized personal service plan;
- Respond to scheduled and unscheduled requests from residents for assistance;
- Participate in social and recreational programs, including group activities, outings, special event and opportunities for socialization;
- Perform housekeeping, laundry and dietary duties tasks;
- Assist with dining room preparation and meal service and tray service to resident rooms as required;
- Interact with residents, guests and staff in a courteous and respectful manner;
- Complete required documentation;
- Acts as a positive and constructive team player, creating exceptional customer experiences;
- Follow security and infection control policies and procedures; and,
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will meet the below qualifications
- Must be physically capable to perform all the required tasks as outlined in the job description.
- As per OH&S (medical history/or requirements).
- Ensures that Golden Life Management POLICIES and PROCEDURES are practiced.
- Must be accountable for all actions taken while employed by Golden Life Management.
- Based on individual; Cooperation, Attitude, Resident Focus, Team Work, Problem Solving skills, and application of the Social Model Care will impact a person's candidacy.
- Able to read and write English.
- Must have Delegation of Tasks (DOT)
- Must have First Aid
- Has taken Food Safe or other required courses.
- Must have ability to be self-motivated for this position.
- Successful clearance of a vulnerable sector-criminal record check.
- Negative TB Skin Test.
Compensation: The $29.83 per hour start rate for this position currently falls under provincial wage-levelling.
