Receptionist

It's an amazing time to join Golden Life as we continue to expand our seniors housing, care, and services within western Canada. 
 
We’re looking for a qualified, part-time (0.40 FTE) Receptionist to join our team at Evanston Grand Village. If you are a strong team player, then we’d like to hear from you!
 
The successful candidate will have related experience and has a passion for providing high quality care and support for seniors. The receptionist is responsible for providing outstanding customer service to residents, their families, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
 
We're looking for someone who:
  • Greets residents and visitors, provides assistance, and handles questions and concerns from residents, families and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Displays a friendly, positive, hospitable attitude ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
  • Answers the telephone in a courteous manner, recording and distributing all messages accurately.
  • Provides clerical and administrative support for Village operations.
  • Provides accounting support that includes but is not limited to receiving payments, posting payments, preparing billing, petty cash and collecting accounts receivables as assigned.
  • Supports the Community Manager with community outreach, sales and marketing.
  • Supports the Community Manager in the Resident move-in/out process.
  • Ensures common areas of the building are kept clean and presents well.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Community Manager .
     
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
  • Completion of High School Diploma.
  • Previous experience with scheduling in a healthcare environment is an asset.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Successful completion of Office Procedures or Office Management Coursework.
  • Experience in operating and administering an electronic payroll and scheduling Program.
  • Experience with Avanti or Great Plains Software is preferred
  • A strong desire to serve and care for seniors.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Elementary bookkeeping and experience handling cash.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Negative TB Screening and full Immunization records.
