We’re looking for qualified permanent, full-time (1.00 FTE) Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our Village Nursing Care team in Cranbrook, BC. If you're a qualified LPN, and you are a strong team player, then we’d like to hear from you!

The successful candidate will have a passion for providing high quality care and support for seniors.

We're looking for someone who:

Fosters a warm, friendly and caring environment for residents and co-workers.
Has a passion for helping seniors live their best life.
Ensures comprehensive care plans, tailored to the resident’s short and long term requirements, are developed, updated and regularly evaluated for effectiveness.
Participates in decision-making relating to matters of health and safety, resident care, and staffing.
Provides leadership and direction to staff involved in the provision of resident care by mentoring and role modeling, fostering and promoting new initiatives; interpreting, developing and implementing care related policies and procedures; seeks assistance from RN peers where appropriate.
Provides direct nursing care, including administration of medications, medical treatments and procedures as per provincial regulations and established policies and procedures; consults with and/or takes direction from a RN where appropriate.

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

Must be physically capable to perform all the required tasks as outlined in the job description.
Ensures that the Golden Life Management POLICIES AND PROCEDURES are practiced.
Must be accountable for all actions taken while employed by Golden Life Management.
Based on individual; cooperation, attitude, resident focus, team work, problem solving skills, and application of the Social Model of Care will impact a person's candidacy.
Able to read and write English.
Has taken Food Safe or other required courses.
Must have First Aid.
Must have the ability to be self-motivated for this position.
As per OH&S (medical history/or requirements).
Clear Criminal Record Check – Vulnerable Sector.
Can provide a negative TB Screening test, and complete Immunization Records as outlined in the BC Centre for Disease Control for Health Care workers

Compensation: The wage schedule of $32.84-$41.87 per hour for this position currently falls under provincial wage-levelling.
