We’re looking for a qualified, casual
Receptionist/Admin Assistant to join our Evanston Grand Village team in
Calgary, AB. If you are a strong team player, then we’d like to hear from you!
The successful candidate will have related experience and has a passion for providing high quality care and support for seniors. The receptionist is responsible for providing outstanding customer service to residents, their families, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
We're looking for someone who:
- Welcomes visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
- Engages with all individuals entering the building such as visitors, employees, and contractors, to ensure their attendance at the site is essential and to ensure non-essential visitors understand entrance restrictions. Asks self-assessment questions by using the provided script and documentation
- Co-ordinates the inbound and outbound delivery of mail
- Maintains a safe and presentable front entrance area by complying with policies and procedures
- Maintains the cleanliness of staff and meeting rooms
- Provides accounting support as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Community Manager as requested
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- A strong desire to serve and care for seniors
- Previous reception and/or administrative experience
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Elementary bookkeeping and experience handling cash
- Well organized, accurate, and detail focused. Able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a flexible environment in order to meet the needs of the residents
- Clear Criminal Record Vulnerable Sector Check
- Full proof of Immunization records
- A casual employee works on an on-call basis
