We’re looking for caring and dedicated Health Care Aide's (HCA) who are passionate about providing quality, person-centered care and being part of a supportive team environment.
What You'll Do
- Works collaboratively with the care team to provide quality, resident-centered care.
- Assists residents with activities of daily living, promoting comfort and independence.
- Upholds resident dignity by recognizing individual physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychological needs.
- Performs delegated clinical tasks, documents observations, and reports concerns to the nurse in charge.
- Supports residents and families during admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
- Assists with feeding and other kitchen-related tasks.
- Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide program and current registration with the BC Health Care Aide Registry.
- Strong team player able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Physically able to perform duties requiring extended standing and walking, as well as lifting, bending, reaching, and carrying using proper techniques and equipment.
- A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- A negative TB test and up-to-date immunization record.
- A competitive salary: $29.83 per hour, in accordance with provincial wage levelling.
