Maintenance | Part-time

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Maintenance professional who is committed to providing high-quality service and contributing to a supportive team environment.
What You'll Do
- Under the direction of the Community Manager, maintain all aspects of the building and grounds, including interior, exterior, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Complete preventative maintenance in line with schedules and manufacturer specifications.
- Review, prioritize, and respond to maintenance and resident requests daily.
- Coordinate and oversee trades, suppliers, and contractors, ensuring quality and timely work.
- Obtain quotes, schedule services, and monitor workmanship through completion.
- Track warranties, approve completed work, and follow financial policies.
- Resolve maintenance issues and collaborate with Community Managers on resident and staff concerns.
- Source new trades and support building projects, turnovers, and service contracts.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Relevant building or facility maintenance background
- A strong mechanical or electrical understanding
- Minimum of three years related experience
- Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively and prioritize work
- Ability to plan, deliver and evaluate budgets
- The ability to create sound & economical solutions in emergency situation.
- Experience in a care community or retirement residence is preferred.
- A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- A negative TB test and up-to-date immunization record.
- A competitive salary: $32.35 per hour, in accordance with provincial wage levelling.
