We’re seeking a dedicated Assisted Living Worker (ALW) who demonstrates compassion, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to supporting residents’ independence, dignity, and overall well-being through person-centered care.
What You'll Do
- Provide personal care services to residents in accordance with individualized service plans (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility and hygiene duties)
- Respond promptly to resident needs and requests for assistance
- Support and participate in social, recreational, and wellness activities (outings, special events and socialization)
- Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and meal and tray service as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow care protocols.
- Promote a safe environment by adhering to safety and infection control policies and procedures
- Contribute positively as a reliable and supportive team member.
What You Bring
- Current registration and in good standing as a Health Care Assistant with the British Columbia Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry (BCCACHWR);
- Certificates in First Aid and Food Safe
- Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;
- Ability to work independently and as a team-player;
- Physically capable of lifting up to 10kgs;
- Proven computer experience;
- Successful clearance of a vulnerable sector-criminal record check
- A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- A negative TB test and up-to-date immunization record.
- A competitive salary: $29.83 per hour, in accordance with provincial wage levelling.
