  • Work closely with the Kitchen Manager to support consistent, quality food service
  • Participate in quality improvement activities related to nutrition care and meal service
  • Provide input into menu planning to support nutritional adequacy and resident needs
Leadership & Team Oversight
  • Provides leadership and direction to food service staff supporting long-term care by setting clear expectations and reinforcing standards for meal service, texture modification, and safe food practices
  • Works in partnership with the Kitchen Manager to coordinate staffing, training, and day-to-day operations across long-term care and independent living dining services
  • Monitors staff performance related to nutrition care and meal service in long-term care, providing coaching, feedback, and follow-up as needed
  • Participates in staff recruitment, orientation, and training to support consistent practice and strong team performance
  • Supports performance management processes, including contributing to evaluations, addressing performance concerns, and participating in disciplinary processes up to and including termination in collaboration with site leadership
  • Provides day-to-day clinical direction to staff to ensure resident nutrition needs are met safely and consistently
What You’ll Bring
  • Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics. Successful completion of an accredited hospital based dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).
