Accounting Professional

It's an amazing time to join Golden Life Management as we continue to expand our seniors housing, care, and services within western Canada.

Our Finance Department is growing and we are looking for an exceptional Accounting Professional to join the team at our Corporate Head Office, which is based in Cranbrook, B.C.


If you are a strong team player who brings strong Excel skills and budgeting or internal audit experience, then we’d like to hear from you!

The duties of the position include:
  • Preparing month-end reconciliations,
  • Maintaining chart of accounts,
  • Conducting internal audits,
  • Collecting and managing budget data during the budget creation stage, which includes creation and maintenance of budget templates,
  • Generating and distributing monthly budget variance reports, and,
  • Supporting Managers in researching budget variances.

The successful accounting professional will have:
  • Strong experience and knowledge of Microsoft Excel,
  • Proven experience with generating and maintaining financial forecasts and budgets,
  • Experience in preparing reconciliations and conducting internal audits,
  • Working knowledge of Dynamics Great Plains accounting system is preferred.
  • Experience in Seniors Housing or Long-term Care administration is an asset.
  • Effective communication, customer service, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills,
  • Proven time management, organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Successful clearance of a Vulnerable Sector – Criminal Record Check.
  • Proof of full and current COVID-19 vaccinations or approved exemption for an accommodation based on a reason related to human rights.
