Housekeeping Aide

We are looking for temporary, full-time, Housekeeper to join our Joseph Creek Village team in Cranbrook, BC. If you are a strong team player, then we would like to hear from you!
The successful candidate will have related experience and a passion for providing high quality care and support for seniors.
We are looking for someone who will:
- Perform housekeeping tasks such as cleaning rooms, sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming, preparing cleaning solution, replenishing supplies; and cleaning, disinfecting and storing housekeeping equipment;
- Assist with laundry as needed.
- Operate in a safe manner and report any present or potential health and safety hazards to Manager;
- Interact with residents, guests and staff in a courteous and respectful manner;
- Complete required documentation;
- Acts as a positive and constructive team player, creating exceptional customer experiences;
- Follow security and infection control policies and procedures; and,
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements include:
- Effective communication and organizational skills;
- Energetic, focused, and enthusiastic person
- Must be physically capable to perform all the required tasks as outlined in the job description.
- As per OH&S (medical history/or requirements).
- Ensures that the Golden Life Management POLICIES AND PROCEDURES are practiced.
- Must be accountable for all actions taken while employed by Golden Life Management.
- Based on individual; cooperation, attitude, Resident Focus, Team Work, Problem Solving skills, and application of the Social Model of Care will impact a person’s candidacy.
- Able to read and write English.
- Must have ability to be self-motivated for this position
- Ability to work independently and as a team-player;
- Physically capable of lifting up to 10kgs;
- Grade 10 education or equivalent;
- Able to provide full record of immunizations and TB screening;
- Successful clearance of a vulnerable sector-criminal record check.
Compensation: The $24.34 per hour start rate for this position currently falls under provincial wage levelling.
