We are looking for a
permanent, full-time Office Assistant to join our Corporate Head Office. This position will be based out of Cranbrook, BC, covering a maternity leave. If you are a strong team player, then we’d like to hear from you! The successful candidate will have related experience and a passion for quality and continuous improvement.
The Office Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day management of the organization’s corporate office including the coordination of supplies and services, telecommunications and technology.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Administratively support office team members and villages;
- Manage contract Agency Staff through recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, performance management and maintaining personnel files.
- Responsible for various accounting and reporting tasks;
- Manage Wheel Chair program;
- Support recruitment efforts by assisting with job postings and applicant screening;
- Coordinate travel arrangements, including hotel, auto rental and airline reservations;
- Directs the organizing and coordinating of board room activities including meeting set up, reminders, minutes, beverages, catering and equipment rentals.
- Ensures cleaning procedures are in place to maintain the office environment
- As a private partner with Interior Health Golden Life is mandated to ensure all employees have a successful Criminal Records Check clearing them for employment with vulnerable adults;
- Special projects as assigned;
Requirements include:
- Office Administration, Commerce certification or relevant work experience
- Health &/or Construction industry experience an asset;
- Strong, demonstrated managerial experience;
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, including expertise in standard office applications such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, as well as the ability to quickly learn and utilize in-house software systems.
- Ability to organize workload, adapt quickly to change, and deliver under the pressure of deadlines;
- Ability to partner with a wide variety of stakeholders;
- Successful clearance of a vulnerable sector-criminal record check;
